*These tops are made with Galaxy Glass, they were given their name due to the near black appearance they have from outside the car. The deep shades on these tops offer a very attractive look, while also maintaining a low level of heat in the car on those hot summer days. * The GM OEM manufacturer Libbey Owens Ford (LOF) manufactures this dark smoked glass. It is currently being used as standard rear tinted glass in nearly all General Motors products. * All of the frames and hardware for these tops are constructed using G.M. parts. Our T-Tops carry a D.O.T.# (Department of Transportation) which is extremely beneficial to safety and certain state inspections. * These tops can be retrofitted to fit pre 1978 Corvettes using our 1978-1982 factory rear switch plates.
